Arcade Fire, Pearl Jam, and the Foo Fighters are lending their names to Neil Young's Pono project.

Young and his team have opened a Kickstarter campaign to help fund and promote the new ultra-high resolution music player, and some of music's biggest names are helping out with the rewards for the project's backers.

In addition to Arcade Fire, Pearl Jam, and the Foo Fighters, Beck, Lenny Kravitz, Norah Jones, and others are taking part in the Artist Signature Series.  Anyone who donates $400 or more will get a chrome Pono Player featuring the artist's signature laser engraved on the side.  It also comes pre-loaded with two of the act's favorite albums and packaged in a handmade leather case with a presentation box.

The limited edition Pono Players are expected to ship this October.  The device was designed by world-renowned audio engineers to play music as it sounded in the recording studio without the usual MP3 or CD compression.
