Hear Mötley Crüe's New Song "The Dirt" Featuring Machine Gun Kelly

This past fall, Nikki Sixx proclaimed that the new Mötley Crüe songs the band recorded for its upcoming band biopic The Dirt "totally crush," and based on the first single of the bunch, he wasn't lying.

On Friday, Mötley Crüe released a song called "The Dirt" to go with the film (available March 22 on Netflix) and the 2006 memoir of the same name.

The song builds suspense in the first several bars before ramping up into a bass and drum-driven verse, then breaking into half time for the chorus. The lyrics reference the band's autobiography while the music is an exciting mix of classic Crüe riffs with contemporary production.

One of the film's stars also features on the song.

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly, who plays Tommy Lee in the biopic, parachutes into the song during the bridge with some rhymes about drugs, rock 'n' roll and strippers, and it works seamlessly in context of the song and Mötley Crüe's legendary infamous career.
